Scale Ova review (2026): what this AI Shopify store builder really delivers
Scale Ova builds your whole Shopify store with AI, then runs it. We tested its eight demo stores: what it builds, its price (from €49 a month or €99 lifetime), and how it compares to DropMagic and Atlas.

Scale Ova is an AI Shopify store builder, launched in April 2026 by two French founders. You describe your project or paste a product link, and Ova, its assistant, builds the whole store: theme, homepage, product pages, collections, menus, copy and images. Then it keeps running the store when you message it, Shopify admin included. We went through its eight demo stores, on desktop and on mobile, to see what it actually builds and what it costs once your store is live.

How we tested
Scale Ova publishes eight stores generated by Ova on its demo page: Attack Shark, Flow, Lumai, Vestago, Mixup, Studio Rotin, ZOHI and Matchata. We opened each one in English and in French, then read their copy, their prices and their claims. These are not our stores: every screenshot in this article comes from those demos and says so in its caption. We also used the app's Shopify App Store listing, its terms of sale and the Scale Ova FAQ.
What Scale Ova does
You can start in five ways, depending on where you are:
Ova Start: you describe what you sell, your brand and your references. Useful if you don't have a supplier yet.
Ova Link: you paste a product page link from AliExpress, Amazon or Alibaba. Ova picks up the title, price, images and description.
Ova Recraft: you connect your current store. Ova tells you what is holding back your sales, then rebuilds it.
Ova Studio: on-brand product photos and banners, refined in a chat.
Ova Sourcing: you don't have a product yet. Ova looks for what sells in the CJ Dropshipping and AliExpress catalogs, handles shipping and sets your selling price. You pick, and the store is built around it.
Before the first page, Ova sets your market, your promise, your offers and your buyers' objections. You can see it in the demos: each store speaks to a specific buyer, and its sections answer that buyer's doubts.
Once the store is live, Ova keeps working. You ask it for a discount, a new product, a shipping page or a translation, and it makes the change in your Shopify store. It also handles selling abroad: a currency and prices per market, and shipping to up to 250 countries.
The stores are fast on mobile. According to measurements Scale Ova published on October 2, 2026, the homepage loads in 1.09 s (down from 2.04 s before its latest update) and the product page in 0.97 s.
What we saw in the demos
Mixup: a whole store from an AliExpress link
Mixup started from an AliExpress supplier link for a portable blender. The result has a real homepage and a product page, with a headline about use rather than specs: "The portable blender that turns your fruit into a smoothie in 30 seconds. Anywhere."
Scale Ova demo: the Mixup store, generated from an AliExpress product link.
Below the hero, Ova turned the supplier's specs into readable benefits: the 10 stainless steel blades, the USB-C battery, the number of smoothies per charge. Then come three moments of use, three steps to make a smoothie, and an FAQ on the doubts buyers raise most (cleaning, durability, noise). That is the work a first-time merchant forgets, and it is often where a buyer hesitates.
Vestago: a brand, not a theme template
Vestago sells a single jacket. Yet the store looks like a fashion brand: a full-width street photo, a condensed typeface, a six-word headline. Tools that start from a single theme often produce stores that all look alike. Here, colors, fonts and layout change from one demo to the next.
Scale Ova demo: Vestago, a one-product store styled like a fashion brand.
Lumai: the product page, on desktop and on mobile
The Lumai lip balm page, at the top of this article, shows what Ova does with a product page. The price sits at the top, the benefit fits in one sentence, and the reassurance (secure payment, packaging details) sits under the add-to-cart button. On mobile, the three benefits come right below the photo, before the title.
Scale Ova demo: the same page on mobile.
One detail we liked. When the buyer asks whether the tint will stay light on their lips, the page doesn't promise a result identical to the photo, only visible color and shine. It's an honest answer, and it reassures more than a promise would.
What it costs
Building the store and browsing its preview costs nothing, with an AI budget to try Ova. You pay when you publish to Shopify, and there are two ways to do it.
A subscription, if you want Ova to keep running your store. Three plans, billed by Scale Ova through Stripe:
Starter, from €49 a month: one live store.
Pro: three live stores, and a larger AI budget.
Ultra: to run even more stores.
Each plan is monthly or yearly, and its price shows in the app before you pay.
The lifetime store, from €99 once. Your store stays live with no subscription. Ova can be added as an option, by the month, if you want to keep handing it changes.
On top of that comes Shopify, which you pay to Shopify. In France, the Basic plan costs €27 a month billed yearly or €36 billed monthly, after a three-day trial and three months at €1 (prices checked on September 11, 2026).
If you cancel your subscription, it runs until the end of the paid period. After that, your store stops taking orders, but your theme and data stay saved: a new subscription unblocks it. Your products, customers and orders stay in Shopify. The lifetime store is not affected. And if Scale Ova ever shut down, its terms of sale state that the stores covered at that date stay open.

Which tool should you pick?
You want a complete store, and to keep improving it by talking to it: Scale Ova. It's the only one of the four that builds the whole store and also runs the Shopify admin.
You don't have a product yet: Scale Ova, with Ova Sourcing, which finds one and handles shipping.
You don't want a subscription: Scale Ova, with the lifetime store, paid once.
You only want a sales page to test a product with ads: DropMagic or Atlas will do.
You want a free starting point and to do the rest yourself: the Shopify AI Store Builder.
Our verdict
If you want a complete store, Scale Ova is the most complete tool in this comparison. It doesn't stop at one page: it builds the whole store, then handles what you would otherwise look for across ten screens of the Shopify admin. The demos show stores that each have their own identity, with copy that answers the buyer's real doubts. And the lifetime store settles the question every subscription tool raises: what happens to your store the day you stop paying.
The simplest way to make up your own mind is to build your store on scale-ova.ai and browse it before paying anything.
Frequently asked questions

Is Scale Ova legit?
The app has been on the Shopify App Store since April 6, 2026. It is published by MV GROUP, a French company, and its founders answer support themselves. Your store lives in your own Shopify account, in your name: your products, customers and orders stay there.
Do I need a Shopify store already?
No. You build and browse the store in the Scale Ova preview. You connect a Shopify store, new or existing, when you publish.
Do I need a product to sell already?
No. Ova Sourcing looks for products that sell in the CJ Dropshipping and AliExpress catalogs, handles shipping and sets your selling price.
Does Scale Ova work outside France?
Yes. Ova writes the store in your market's language and translates it on request. It sets a currency and prices per market, and shipping to up to 250 countries.
Scale Ova or DropMagic?
DropMagic generates a product page to test a product with ads. Scale Ova builds the whole store, homepage, collections and Shopify admin included, then runs it by chat. For a single page, DropMagic is enough. For a brand, Scale Ova goes further.
Who is behind Scale Ova?
Two French founders, Vincent Fredet and Milo Mahelin. Scale Ova is published by MV GROUP, a French company. Support answers in the app, by email and on WhatsApp.
What happens if I stop?
Your subscription runs until the end of the paid period. After that, your store stops taking orders, but your theme and data stay saved, and a new subscription unblocks it. Your products, customers and orders stay in Shopify. The lifetime store stays live.
